• Comprehensive Eye Exam

    Comprehensive Eye Exam

This is a thorough evaluation of the overall health of your eyes, assessing both vision (brain connections) and eye function. These exams include tests for visual acuity, spectacle refraction, eye muscle movements, peripheral vision, and general ocular health.

  • Contact Lens Fitting

    Contact Lens Fitting

This process involves measuring your eyes' shape and size, assessing tear production, and ensuring the lenses fit well and provide optimal vision correction without causing discomfort. We take your spectacle refraction prescription and select the best lens for your eyes.

  • Pediatric Eye Care

    Pediatric Eye Care

This exam includes early detection and treatment of eye conditions that can affect learning and development. We assess for common childhood eye problems such as lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes (strabismus), early on-set myopia (near-sightedness), and prescriptions for glasses and/or contact lenses.

  • LASIK Evaluation

This consult will determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK surgery, a laser procedure that corrects refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The consultation includes a discussion of your visual goals, expectations, and corneal anatomy scan.

  • Diabetic Eye Exam

    Diabetic Eye Exam

Diabetic eye exams are essential for individuals with diabetes, as they are at higher risk for eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy (internal bleeding), reduced color and contrast vision, glaucoma, and cataracts. These exams include a detailed evaluation allowing for as early intervention as possible.

  • Glaucoma Evaluation

Characterized by increased intraocular pressure that can lead to optic nerve damage and vision loss, glaucoma is the silent blinder of the world. Multiple new technology devices are used to evaluate the optic nerve anatomy, visual field, color and contrast vision, and corneal thickness.

  • Dry Eye Treatment

    Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye treatment is tailored to alleviate the signs and/or symptoms of dry eye syndrome, which occurs when the eyes do not produce enough tears (aqueous deficiency) or the tears evaporate too quickly (oil deficiency). Our treatments go beyond simply prescribing eye lubricants!

  • Urgent Eye Care

We provide immediate attention for urgent eye conditions and injuries, such as infections, foreign body (metal, wood, etc.), sudden vision changes, and trauma. Prompt evaluation and treatment are crucial to prevent further damage and preserve vision, that is why we have an optometrist on-call every day of the week.

  • Macular Degeneration

AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration) is a progressive eye condition that affects the macula, the central part of the retina, leading to loss of central vision. This type of exam takes a high quality microscopic scan of the macula and will detect early signs and allow for monitoring of more severe AMD.

  • Cataract Evaluation and Surgery

    Cataract Evaluation and Surgery

A cataract is the clouding of the eye's natural lens leading to vision impairment. This evaluation includes assessing the presence, type, and severity of a cataract and how it impacts your vision. Intra-Ocular Implant options will be discussed.

  • Myopia Control

One of our passions here at PEC is myopia control services. Our aim is to slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children and adolescents before the damage occurs. We follow the latest research in order to initiate treatment sooner and as effective as possible.
